Our Mission Project
Connecting Kids to Justice
When you are thirsty or need to wash your hands, you probably just turn a faucet on and watch the water flow.
Unfortunately, for many kids and families around the world, water doesn't flow as easily for them. For some families, finding enough water is a daily struggle. For others, the water makes them sick.
The Global Water Crisis: Facts
* For every $1 spent on water, sanitation, and hygiene programs, there is, on average, a $4 return in productivity.
*783 million people in the world do not have access to safe water. This is roughly 11 percent of the world's population.
*2.5 billion people in the world do not have access to adequate sanitation. This is about 35% of the world's population.
*Around 700,000 children die every year from diarrhea caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation- that is almost 2,000 children a day.
This year at Roar Totally Catholic VBS, your kids are learning that even during sad or scary times. God is good and is always with us. Your kids are also learning that they are called to share God's goodness with others. One way we can encourage kids to answer this call is by participating in our Connecting Kids to Justice outreach project. Throughout the week at Roar VBS, children are encouraged to bring in monetary donations for CRS from chores they've done around the house or in their neighborhood or from their allowance.
